SURVIVING THE HARD TIMES
That times are extremely
hard now globally appears to be obvious
to all Daily. Our budget estimates are suffering implementation because of
scarce resources to match them.Yet things that we must do every day keep
cropping up. The question is,
how do we cope with the Hard times? Here are
some useful tips on how to survive the hard times:
1.Always plan on how you
will spend the little that you have: Most people have the wrong notion that
planning has only to do with a large sum of money. This is totally wrong as you
can plan even with one kobo.If you set out shopping with one kobo but don’t
know what you want to buy ‘ you may end up buying anything which on the long
run may not be what you need at the time.
2.Spent within your means,
Never. never borrow to spent. Your budget should be within what you can afford.
3.Buy only the
necessary. What you can do with out ,leave it at the moment.
4.Dont shop for shopping
sake.
5And always ensure that
you have reserve
Meanwhile .we may be
facing harder times in 2012.According
to Chief Economist; Mr Justin
Lin,.Nations may face tough economic times in 2012.

GOVERNMENT LOSSES N733.5 BILLION TO STRIKE
It
has been discovered that the federal government of Nigeria has
lost a whooping sum of N733.5 billion as a result of the nationwide strike declared
by the organized labour. A survey by TION’S BLOG revealed that:(1.) The Banking
sector led the losers chart with about N400 billion.other losers are:
2.Information,Communication
and Technology sector =N159.5 billion
3.The
Maritine sector =N18 billion
4.The
Manufacturing sector =N10 billion
5.The
Capital Market sector =N10 billion .
It
was therefore a thing of joy that the organized labour accepted the governments
offer of N97.00 per litre and suspended their strike. From all indicatons ,if
the strike has prolonged it is evident the economy of Nigeria would have
collapsed.
SHREWD OIL MARKETERS
When the Federal Government of Nigeria announced the withdrawal of oil subsidy with effect from 1st of January 2012,Oil marketers responded immediately jacking up the pump price from N65.00 to between N180.00 to N200.00.
The organized labour protested for more than a week and the government re-introduced the oil subsidy and pegged fuel pump price at N97.00 per litre.
Now,Oil marketers are refusing to adjust to the new pump price.

MY HAPPINESS SHORTLIVED
In my previous post tittled'iam happy' i did state the the effect of the strike on Nigerians was great and that i was happy because the two sides in thd dispute have agreed to meet. However from all indications, the strike may resume as both sides have failed to reach an aggreement. May God save Nigeria!
THE NATIONAL STRIKE CONTINUES
The National strike which entered day 5 but was suspended for two day resumes monday. This follows the breakdown of talks between the Government and the organised. At the meeting labour insisted on N65,00 per litre while the Government side refused.Meanwhile, nigerians should be ready for more hardships as the strike continues.
